Rich,
Thanks for the nice words. But really, the one who should be thanks is Rene. Without meeting him, I wouldn't be able to share the art. And without Ho Kam Ming/Yip Man, Rene wouldn't be able to share the art... In a few years, you will be able to see the jewel you have in Rene. If I were you, I'd be practicing 7 days a week and asking 10,000 questions (unless of course, you are, then never mind ;-) ). Rene is a very very special man that I have never seen in any other martial art. He truly cares about every student and treats everyone he teaches as family (as you probably know by now). He taught us the way he was taught and I teach, out of respect to him, the way I was taught. The best part about wing chun is that you can grow old in the system and practice for a lifetime. Other systems, unfortunately, you can't. Wing Chun is simple, efficient and very effective. What isn't there to love about it? ;-) Anyway, thanks for the nice words. But when you read these types of things, it's really about the tradition and being true to the art as taught by Rene/Ho Kam Ming. You are very blessed to have him as a teacher. I have been with him for 15 plus years and the more I practice, the more I realize how lucky I am. The only advice I can offer is that doing the SLT twice a day for 45 minutes to an hour each time, helped my WC take off. Try it for a few weeks and you will see.. ;-)
Talk to you soon.
